POETRY IS WHAT THE SOULS OF THE ANCIENTS SPEAK TO THOSE STILL SEEKING WHAT IS MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD. FROM: LINDA

Thank you to Lipi Magazine for publishing my poem today.

Unavoidable (Re)viewpoint

A pile of pictures, flip through them quickly,

showing the quick succession of year’s passing.

Memories kissed onto each image,

unavoidable (re)viewpoint.

Midnight recalls come most vivid,

sends me back down that road,

and lets me re-walk those steps,

when yours was the only hand I held.

Summer stars and radio songs,

we could not part then without grief,

and after all these years,

there’s no more tears, just subtle smiles.
