Dreams As Haints

In sleep,
facing darkness,
so begins an invasion of phantom expression.

The ebbing cognizance behind fading sunlight
shifts into growing comprehension within starlight,
transitions into haunted reasoning or foolishness,
and shapes the impotency of your silence.
What or who will materialize,
as you feel the gripping arm of dreamful sleep?

Haints as oddly shaped angels,
from which you have no desire to escape,
sent down the wires,
to dance across imagination’s spectrum,
as you lie flat,
poised to consider truths that polish understanding,

Haints as oddly shaped demons,
marshaling forces,
playing strange tricks,
as you lie flat,
poised to tolerate their objectionable loitering,
to give ear to a potential streams of lies that jeopardize meaning.

Recurring dreams are the right places to continue
our search for answers,
within either haints’ paradigm.
